Around 5800 years ago, there were signs of civilization origin in regions such as the Yellow River, the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River(chang jiang), and the Western Liao River; Around 5300 years ago, various regions on the land of China gradually entered the stage of civilization; Around 3800 years ago, the Central Plains region formed a more mature form of civilization and radiated cultural influence to all directions; After experiencing multiple ethnic blends and dynastic changes, it eventually formed a unified multi-ethnic state. After the Xinhai Revolution in the early 20th century, the feudal monarchy was abolished and the bourgeois democratic republic was established. After the founding of the People’s Republic of China in 1949, the socialist system of people’s democratic dictatorship was established in Chinese Mainland.

In the Han Dynasty, through cultural integration, the Han ethnic group was officially formed, laying the foundation for China’s main ethnic group. Later, through integration with neighboring ethnic groups, a unified multi-ethnic country was gradually formed, and the population continued to rise. During the Song Dynasty, China’s population exceeded 100 million, during the Qing Dynasty, it exceeded 400 million, and by 2005, China’s population had exceeded 1.3 billion.
